IMAGE Magazine NJ is a luxury lifestyle magazine, embodying the sophisticated New York Metropolitan lifestyle. Covering the worlds of entertainment, fashion, art, luxury real estate, beauty and travel while bringing it's readers the highest quality advertisements depicting the area's finest businesses.

 

We are looking for someone who has experience and is a proven success in Magazine Ad Sales-both local & national. This is a great opportunity for the right person with tremendous contacts and is confident in their selling abilities. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with advertising sales experience who can immediately impact our sales revenue.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prospect clients from a variety of internal, web and other media sources
  • In person weekly sales calls to both client and advertising agency to build relationships
  • Prospect potential advertisers, set up meetings, make presentations and close deals
  • Develop and maintain healthy pipeline of strategic leads for new business at IMAGE
  • Seek out multi-market opportunities and smart alliances for our partners
  • Set up a database of local sales contacts and regularly track client and prospect status in database
  • Work with Publisher to price advertising and integration opportunities/proposals
  • Build awareness of IMAGE MAGAZINE among prospective advertisers
  • Identify opportunities that positively contribute to IMAGE presence in the community

 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in media sales with key business, agency and end-users relationships
  • Insight into the luxury lifestyle market
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive
  • Proven ability to plan, develop, and execute on multiplatform media sales strategies
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills with particular emphasis on presentation, analytical and sales expertise, and negotiation techniques
  • Must be proactive and excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Prior experience with luxury brand publications preferred.

 

 

Successful candidates work well under pressure and thrive in a dynamic deadline driven, rapidly changing environment. This position will work independently and as part of a team.
